After the War

Aaaaaaaaa, it's been over a week and I'm still not over the Gravity Falls Finale; i have so much stuff to draw, but I wanted to finish this beforehand because...feels overload ;w;

Like, usually I tend to criticize "too happy" endings (like Over the Garden Wall...) but...man, Gravity Falls did it right. The plot and characters were developed steadily, and it really shone through at the finale; it felt like the big payoff at the end, seeing literally EVERYONE working together to save the world! I feel like the fans (and meeee) got everything they wanted+ some new mysteries to think about, which I think is really cool! Like, even when the show is over, there are still things to think about (not too big of loose ends though hahaha thank goodness) and I think that's an awesome way to keep it alive :'D We got to see Mabel and Dipper closer than ever, working together to save their Grunkles (which may have caused Stan and Ford several heart attacks pffft ) and seeing such teamwork between them was really amazing--AND THE STANS MADE UP FINALLY--and we got that lovely happy ending (after going through tons of pain and suffering D:  ) and a bittersweet goodbye ;w; I hate endings, but when they're done so well like this, I can't help but feel satisfied and applaud the ones who made it possible. It was an amazing ride :'D

So here's a peaceful moment for the Pines after all is said and done (and probably after an urgent hospital visit, poor Ford was tortured and electrocuted severely O.o''''') Mabel uses band aids and stickers as decorations as well as aid (she was helping :'D ) and they just all kinda hunkered down to watch the beautiful world they'd saved. Stan tends to cling to the kids for a long while, still a little fuzzy on his slowly returning memories (since I think it was only due to episode time shortage that he suddenly regained them so quickly; I think it was more of a gradual process...). These kids embody his most recent happy memories, and even with the memory loss, he can tell they're extremely important to him and refuses to let them go. Dipper and Mabel don't mind; they nearly lost him after all...Ford's just glad the damage wasn't too permanent ;w; Good grief, do you all know how happy I am to see Stan and Ford being good and brotherly to each other again?? It's wonderful TwT (PS. Ford is wearing his old sweater vest and stuff coz his normal turtleneck would really irritate the electricity burns...it's a good alternative.)

I've decided that Ford's 6 fingered hands are a pain to draw but it's a challenge I will rise to O.o Annnd I was gonna draw Soos since he's a Pines too (Stan pretty much adopted him, no lie) but...1. It threw off the composition and 2. I learned I couldn't draw him properly Owo''''''' One day......

Characters are not mine, the Pines family is the creation of Alex Hirsch (annnnd Disney...ish. They better release that box set :/  )
