No More Barrier

““Did your powers get rid of the barrier?” Mob asked, brisk. He felt enveloped again in the man’s voice, protected by it. The nearness didn’t scare him anymore.

“What the heck do you mean barr—eh, yes, yep kid, that I did, uh-huh, no more barrier, okay? Stop talking about the barrier. Now are you gonna answer any of my questions or no?”

Mob curled his hands in. He stared at them, stunned. “Got rid of it…?”

“Yup, vamoose. Now tell me why you’re running around out here at night. Is someone chasing you?”"

Phantomrose96 finally got to a hint of the fluff she promised in the summary of chapter one of her AU fic, A Breach of Trust, this scene and the parallels to it were all so so good I had to draw it…! (I've been waiting for them to meet since chapter 1 of course I was gonna draw it DX)

I'm just sooo so happy they met oh my goodness, it was about time! And aaaa the PARALLELS!! Mob Reaching out for Mogami and being denied comfort and love...and continued denial for 4 freaking years...and then Reigen. Bumbling, confused, exhausted, 'has no idea how incredibly lucky he is to be alive' Reigen. Finally offers that warmth to this poor kid within what, like the first five minutes of finding him on the street?? I'm not crying you're crying ;A; ughhh this imagery was really fun to work with too aaaaaa--I really liked the lamp post halo thing and I had to draw it ;7; (not to mention Reigen's spirit tag papers resembling feathers ) great hand practice too! I just...kinda went bonkers with the symbolism. Oops.

Mob's nails probably would be longer than that...? And he should prooobably be taller. But I'm gonna chalk it up to extreme malnourished over the course of 4 years :T Damn you Mogami *wants to throw him into the sun again*
