LOZ Brothers

These are so old jhdihwhfhwebfbhw I got nostalgic looking at the sketches and decided to go ahead and post them ;w; 

These are some old doodles I'd drawn long before the new Zelda trailer came out (y'know...Breath of the Wild) just kinda...theorizing what the game would be like. One of my favorite parts of all Zelda games is the partners and friends Link makes along his journey! I wondered what partner would he get in this new game we knew nothing about (even though it looks like he;ll be alone/ with Wolf Link if you have the amiibo...darn...)?? Hirie-nee-chan and I were talking about how Link's gloves have more of a Gerudo design on them and how that might...mean...more Gerudo info in the new game? Was LINK a Gerudo?? WHAT IF??????? And then we ended up thinking how cool it would be to actually have GANON as Link's partner for the new game~ Sadly, it seems very unlikely in BOTW, but I still enjoy the idea so so much, so I guess it's just...a weird AU now?? 

The idea was that Link got abandoned as a baby, perhaps his mother was killed in a mugging or something?? A Gerudo managed to avenge the poor woman, but not in time to save her life...this Gerudo took pity on the tiny wailing baby and brought him back with her. She was part of an all female race, and the rest of her people were furious with her for bringing back a male child, and was nearly put to death. One stepped up to take Link in, the Gerudo who had already HAD a son- Ganon, the young fated King- decided what was one more son? So, roughly, that's the idea of how Link ended up raised by Gerudos :') He'd grow up with Ganon and they'd go on adventures and stuff, sharing their Courage and Power to make it through enemies and puzzles and the like; maybe meet Zelda (a Shiekah princess of sorts) along the way! Probably the first time in history where the bearers of the triforce pieces actually worked in harmony :'D I love the "villains as allies" trope, and how fun would it be to have the main villain of the franchise as your partner??

But then you know how all partners don't...quite make it at the end of the games? We kinda took the AU down a dark path: What if Demise started acting up with Ganon's triforce? It's supposed to follow the bearer of power, right? What if Ganon slowly becomes more and more corrupted throughout the story?? He fights it, but there's not much he can do, and you see him fall further and further...until your partner becomes the final boss. Link has to kill Ganon once again, just like in every timeline, but it's not nearly as easy as it's always been since...he's still his brother. Just...aaaagh, sorry for the rant, but this is one of those AUs where if I could WRITE I would totally make a multichapter story about this!! But all I can do is draw, so I think I'll just post a few odd doodles here and there for this ridiculous theory turned AU ;w;
